Hunters Point Makes Fast Company’s World Changing Ideas 2025 List

There’s a little spot tucked along the Gulf Coast where something remarkable is happening. Not just because the homes are powered by the sun. Not because they’re built to shrug off hurricanes. And not even because they generate more power than they use.

No, what’s remarkable about Hunters Point is simpler than that: we chose to care.

We cared enough to say no to shortcuts. We cared enough to build homes 16 feet above sea level, not because we had to—but because we should. We built tight walls and filled them with foam, strapped them with steel, and crowned them with solar panels so snug a hurricane can’t catch a grip.

And then… we made them beautiful.

Because living responsibly doesn’t mean living less. It means breathing easier when the storm comes. Sleeping better knowing your lights won’t flicker. Smiling when your energy bill is zero.

So yes, we’re proud Fast Company thinks Hunters Point is a World Changing Idea. But more than proud, we’re grateful—for the neighbors who believed in us, for the families building a life here, and for the chance to prove that you can have a home that loves the planet as much as you do.

Paradise isn’t perfect. But we’re working on it. Every sunny, sea-breezy day.
