Construction on the First Hunters Point Home is Underway
Construction on the first homesite of the Hunters Point community has begun.
The footings and foundation for Homesite 51 have been poured and the framing stage has begun, making it the first of the 86 Hunters Point Homes to begin construction. Homesite Four has also entered the construction phase. This is a huge step for the Hunters Point team and our mission of completing our LEED Certified, Net-Zero Energy community.
20 of our homes are in the permitting stage. Infrastructure implementation is still ongoing. the existing docks in our canal are being updated and improved. The canal seawall is also being repaired.
Construction on Hunters Point is in its first phase and is making great progress despite labor shortages and high demand for building materials. Hunters Point’s goal is to have phase one of construction completed by early 2023.
The Net Zero Homes
Thanks to solar panels, sonnenBatterie solar energy storage system, water-sense technology, and many other eco-friendly additions, the Hunters Point single-family homes will produce more electricity than they use. Once completed, the Hunters Point Homes will comprise Florida’s first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certified, net-zero community.
The Hunters Point Team’s goal is to have all three phases of the community completed in 2024.
“Our whole mission is about sustainability and changing. This community, these homes, when the owners move in, they will generate more power than they’ll consume,” PEARL Homes CEO Marshall Gobuty
